Join us for a playful exploration of language and self-expression through zine-making! In this workshop, we'll use collage and creative mapping to reflect on our personal relationships with language(s). We'll visualize the languages that shape our lives by designing our own linguistic islands, where mastery of a language can take the form of a towering mountain, where a spoken but unwritten language can spill into a sea of vocal expressions, and where unfamiliar words can float like clouds on the horizon.
No prior artistic or linguistic skills are required, just curiosity and a desire to experiment.
