LEAPA is proud to present the Youth Improvisational Theatre Workshop with Melissa Dalton
Dive into the world of improv, where anything is possible and everything is invented on the spot! This workshop offers young people aged 12 to 16 the opportunity to explore the world of improvisational theater in a friendly and convivial atmosphere. Led by actress and improviser Melissa Dalton, participants will learn the fundamental principles of improv, such as listening, "yes and...", teamwork, and openness to mistakes, through practical exercises, games, and short scenes.
No previous experience is required. Whether you're curious about performance, looking to gain confidence, or simply enjoy being creative, this workshop will allow you to try new things, think quickly, and have fun while gaining transferable skills.
Improv isn't about being the funniest or loudest person in the room; it's about paying attention, supporting others, and discovering new ideas together. These skills are not only useful on stage, but can also make a real difference in everyday life, at school, in society, or in the workplace.
Participants:
- Develop confidence and creativity
- Improve communication and teamwork
- Develop quick thinking and adaptability
- Learn to overcome your mistakes in a positive way
- Participate in a fun, pressure-free creative process
Melissa creates a safe and inclusive space where everyone is encouraged to participate at their own pace. The emphasis is on participation, play, and personal development.
