Outside the walls | Attacking Kirchberg
Discover two centuries of fortifications.
An impressive system of fortifications nearly disappeared since the Treaty of London in 1867 defended not only Kirchberg but also the fortress town. The first military constructions on Kirchberg heights date back to Louis XIV. His military engineer Vauban, who directed the siege against Luxembourg in 1684, later reinforced the city fortifications. Join two-hour guided tours offered by the museum.
