Shade Sadiku Cumini is a visual artist from Luxembourg. Her work explores the intersection of surrealism, abstraction, and emotional intimacy, engaging with the fragility of individual and collective cultural memory. Her visual language, often marked by tenderness and finesse, questions the vulnerability and resilience inherent in the experience of being a woman within structures of oppression. A member of the Afrofeminist collective Papaya Seeds, Shade Cumini questions unequal institutional and historical structures through her art, offering a reflection on an alternative future.
