Welcome to the PEKiP course! PEKiP stands for: Prague Parent-Child Program. Developed by psychologist Dr. Koch in the 1960s in Prague, it focuses on the development and learning of infants in their first year of life through movement.
PEKiP is a pedagogical concept for mothers and fathers with their babies during the first year. Starting from the 8th week up to the first birthday, parents (or grandparents) can join weekly sessions. A PEKiP group consists of six to eight babies with their parents, ideally remaining consistent throughout the year.
The sessions, led by a trained PEKiP instructor, take place weekly for 90 minutes. The environment is warm, allowing babies to move freely and unclothed, which promotes activity and satisfaction. Parents learn various games and exercises designed to support their child's physical, mental, linguistic, and social abilities during the sessions.
Courses are divided into age-specific groups. Check our website for details on upcoming sessions.
