At the intersection of music, sound design, and speech, this work expresses the lived experience of hearing through overlapping soundscapes, musical fragments, and processed voices. Premiering worldwide, this piece was created in collaboration with individuals who hear voices, a psychiatrist, as well as a physician and a composer whose family members have experienced auditory phenomena. Understanding this experience is a crucial step towards a supportive response aimed at reducing stigma associated with this phenomenon, raising awareness, and improving outcomes for affected individuals.
