With CeCiL's Box, the Cercle Cité supports local creation by presenting and promoting the work of emerging and young artists from the Greater Region in one of its shop windows on Rue du Curé. This miniature exhibition space, visible 7 days a week, day and night, provides a city-center platform for a series of original and ephemeral interventions in the plastic and applied arts, aiming to spark the curiosity of passersby and question collective imagination.
The 36th intervention, entrusted to artist Yannick Muller, is titled "Thanks for your attention." In this artwork, Yannick Muller explores the futility of everyday life and the challenge of capturing it. Over four months, every business day, a new drawing replaced the previous one in the CeCiL's Box window. Drawing inspiration from an eclectic mix of references, including popular culture, collective memories, and personal thoughts, Yannick uses marker on white paper to present raw and sincere thoughts, sometimes poetic and melancholic. His works adopt universal symbols, transforming them into fragments of a personal narrative, captivating viewers with the duality of shared yet intimate tales.
Meet the artist in front of CeCiL's Box on Thursday, May 8, at 12:00.
