It's the year 1879, in Norway, shortly before Christmas. Nora, a housewife, awaits her husband's return. However, inside her, something is brewing. She can no longer endure being a captive doll in her home and era. Yngvild Aspeli is an outstanding artist, partly trained in France, who frequently incorporates puppets into her creations. This is particularly relevant here. By generating tension between stillness and life, illusion and reality, the puppets express Nora's discomfort better than words can, as she is trapped in her life like in a spider's web. This web materializes on stage before our heroine finally liberates herself. Composed of strange and beautiful, almost gothic imagery, this remarkable performance offers a powerful meditation on the role of women in society. Unforgettable.
