68th Gordon Bennett Aeronautic Cup
This world championship of long-distance gas ballooning gathers annually the best pilots in a race where the goal is to cover the greatest distance without intermediate landings. Pilots optimize their trajectory by considering air currents and weather conditions to achieve remarkable distances.
In 2025, the start will take place in Metz, at the Plateau of Frescaty. Enjoy a captivating program throughout September 5th, including demonstrations and a free concert.

- 4:30 PM: Public welcoming
- 6:00 PM: Launch of the first balloon out of competition
- 7:00 PM: Launch of the first competition balloon
- 9:00 PM: Night Glow of the Hot Air Balloons
- 9:30 PM: Drone show
- 10:00 PM: Free concert by The Runners
The closing ceremony and awards presentation will take place on September 13th at Metz City Hall.
