In-Store Concert: Joke Lanz presents Zungsang.
Joke Lanz is the lead singer and founder of the band Sudden Infant, a member of the Schimpfluch Group, and collaborates in various duos and ensembles of improvised music. From 1986 to 1988, he was the bassist and vocalist for the hardcore band Jaywalker. In 1989, he started the project Sudden Infant, which became a trio in 2014. From 2004 to 2008, he fronted the electro-industrial duo Catholic Boys In Heavy Leather.
Operating at the intersection of improvised and experimental music, Lanz combines noise with turntablism and performance art with Musique Concrète. In 2019, the documentary film "My Life Is a Gunshot", directed by Marcel Derek Ramsay, was centered on him.
