From Soldier Plans to Poems and Songs in Literature
In the 19th century, literature and the military represented two worlds that at first glance seemed far apart. However, Prussian soldiers published poems, such as in the Luxembruger Wochenblatt journal. Luxembourger servicemen in Dutch services also published collections of poems. This lecture explores the interactions of the younger literary scene with the presence of Luxembourger contingents within society at the time. Claude D. Conter, director of the National Library, presents insights on this topic, from the Prussian garrison to the Bundeskontingent.
