Where do you truly come from, when your answer isn’t an address? What grounds you, what makes you dream? In this Spoken Word workshop—a poetic form bridging performance, literature, and oral tradition—language becomes a tool of memory, freedom, and belonging. With Jessy James LaFleur, an East-Belgian artist and founder of the European-wide Spoken Word Academy, participants will explore how words can make the inaudible heard, express what connects them to the world, and allow them to grow through performance. Spoken Word grants each person a unique voice: it’s not just about writing but also feeling, resisting, and transforming personal experiences into artistic and collective expression. The workshop is a moment of shared creativity, where hidden voices, personal stories, and self-fragments take shape. It’s a space where individuals can replant their roots and see their dreams flourish.
