From 29 September to 3 October, architect and skater Tun Kintzele will lead an intensive, hands-on workshop at the old slaughterhouse in Hollerich. Over the course of five days, participants will dive deep into the process of designing and building DIY skate modules out of raw concrete. Together, you’ll mix and pour the material, set it into custom-built molds, then refine the surfaces through shaping, smoothing, and finishing techniques.
This workshop is more than just construction: it’s a chance to discover the craft behind skate architecture. You’ll gain insight into how skaters and builders transform concrete into durable, functional, and rideable structures that capture the raw spirit of underground skate culture. Working side by side, each participant will directly contribute to the creation of a brand-new skatespot that, by the end of the week, will be ready to ride.
On 4 October, the spot officially opens with a full day of action. Expect a high-energy skate jam, skate-for-tricks sessions, and DJ sets, with drinks available on site. Beyond skateboarding, the program also features creative workshops in art, upcycling concepts, and photography. To round off the day, join a round-table talk with key figures from the local scene.
