For years, Greenpeace has been working to protect the Amazon, which is threatened by agribusiness. We denounce the destructive activities of companies like JBS, which profit from the meat trade at the expense of indigenous peoples, biodiversity, and the climate. Through our work, we call on the European Union and the Luxembourg government to take firm action against imported deforestation and to reject trade agreements like the EU-Mercosur agreement, which encourage these practices.
