Outside the walls | Attacking Kirchberg
Discover two centuries of fortifications.
An impressive system of fortifications, almost vanished since the Treaty of London in 1867, defended not only Kirchberg but the entire fortress town. The first military constructions on Kirchberg heights date back to Louis XIV. His military engineer Vauban, who directed the siege against Luxembourg in 1684, later reinforced the city's fortifications. Join two-hour guided tours of these fortifications offered by the museum.
