Guided Tour Through the Permanent Exhibition – 2:30 PM @Museum – Esch/Alzette
Upon entering the exhibition, in the entrance of the main hall, visitors discover the new exhibition, which consists of printed texts, documents and objects in display cases, mechanical devices, audio recordings, films, projections, computer graphics, and interactive screens. This mix of media provides something for everyone.
To complete the exhibition and give a voice to those who lived through this difficult period, audio testimonies accompany each panel of the historical exhibition and can be accessed via QR codes on smartphones.
The exhibition primarily follows a thematic approach, with two timelines on the ground and first floors allowing interested visitors to delve into more details.
Short biographies present individuals directly involved, showcased in biographical niches in the main hall, to be explored before or after the primary historical exhibits. These niches include 28 historical figures and 16 contemporary residents of Luxembourg who share their experiences as victims, civilians, or contributors.
