The male choir "Voices of the East" was founded in 2014 within the association "Mines en Chœurs," of which we are all members. It consists of about twelve choristers from diverse musical backgrounds, directed by Mr. André Kogovsek.
As children of workers and descendants of European immigrants, Lorraine has been a welcoming land for our expatriated parents, and choral singing has often been a source of comfort and solidarity.
The geographic location of our small town, Aumetz, speaks to the importance of mining and industrial immigration. We aim to bring as much warmth to our songs as the people of Lorraine carry in their hearts.
