Germany. A Winter's Tale
That Heine was also a French writer is little known in Germany, and even in France, Henri Heine is relatively underrecognized. His famous "Germany - A Winter's Tale" testifies to his biculturalism. The satirical poem "Germany - A Winter's Tale" is a humorous and critical account of Heine's journey from France to Germany, with each stage of his journey dedicated to a chapter. Accompanied by (literary) historical introductions to Heine's work, our reading will present this text with humor, depth, and analysis, in an original bilingual format.
