Let's celebrate JS Bach's birthday together on March 21 with free concerts in well-known and lesser-known locations across the capital.
Initiated in 2010 by a New York cellist on the occasion of Johann Sebastian Bach's birthday, "Bach in the Subways" aimed to familiarize a wide audience with the work of the famous Baroque composer.
This successful formula has been adopted worldwide. Since then, the annual event brings together thousands of musicians who voluntarily offer their interpretations of Bach's compositions, including jazz versions and compositions played on instruments that Bach would never have considered.
