The Collectif Nuuk revisits "Chelsea Girls" with a film concert. In 1966, in New York, Andy Warhol filmed the residents of the Chelsea Hotel, their bodies and their lives, creating a kaleidoscopic daydream projected in split screen. As a counterpoint, Collectif Nuuk creates both powerful and gentle music, expressive of urban and melancholic soundscapes, reminiscent of Velvet Underground, Oren Ambarchi’s sound explorations, and the musical density of Godspeed You Black Emperor.
