Batucada is a collective, popular, and powerful music rooted in public spaces. It brings people together, makes noise, and is both seen and heard.
Creating a feminist batucada means using this festive and percussive tool to give visibility to women in public spaces, create a space for expression, collective empowerment, and emancipation, and affirm values of solidarity, equality, and the fight against discrimination through music and the body.
