By Latifa Laâbissi, choreographer and dancer.
Latifa Laâbissi revisits Mary Wigman's La danse de la sorcière, transforming this solo of "expression" into an extended and hypnotic experience. She slows down, distorts and expands the original dance, inspired by the figures of the witch and the priestess dear to Wigman. With Écran somnambule, Laâbissi creates a work where the body becomes memory and ritual, performed here in dialogue with the sculptural environments of Louise Nevelson.
