Cedric Burnside, Grammy winner and renowned blues artist, recorded his latest album, "Hill Country Love", in a former law office in Tippah County, a town of 5,000 inhabitants and the birthplace of the Hill Country Blues style. The initial intention was to use the building as a juke-joint, built entirely of wood, thus contributing to the album's unique sound.
From the plains and horizons lined with electric pylons to city neon lights, dreaming tirelessly of forests, Romain LAURENT aka SHAKE THE DISEASE, a master of contraband instruments (Cigar-box, Lapsteel, Dobro, Senza), conjures up the ghosts of the delta and Anglo-Saxon folk. An incomparable voice and concerts of rare intensity.
