A few chairs, a small table, dish towels here and there, empty or half-full glasses: it is in the evocation of the hushed atmosphere of a café that
TELL IT AGAIN, SAM
It invites the public to listen to the stories of ordinary passersby whose lives are sometimes mundane, sometimes surprising. Between laughter, tears, and confidences, each character reveals a unique facet of our shared humanity. Tales of migration, love, war, and simple everyday life intertwine with fragments of dreams and gentle melancholy, painting a sensitive and multifaceted portrait of the world.
On stage, the two storytellers weave together traditional tales and original creations, weaving the tapestry of human diversity, with its strengths and vulnerabilities. Their words are carried by the vibrant sounds of the vibraphone and unexpected percussion, where everyday objects are transformed into musical instruments. The percussionist, a partner in each story, accompanies the different atmospheres: from the tender nostalgia of As Time Goes By, to the richly evocative La Bohème, and including captivating moments of improvisation.
The lighting plays on the contrasts of light and shadow, creating a subtle shift from present to past, allowing us to enter each story as if it were a memory. This variation in lighting helps us move from one era to another and from one narrative to another, immersing the audience in an imaginary journey blending humor, poetry, and introspection. Emotions unfold, revealing in turn the drama, lightness, power, or tenderness of moments in life, in a vibrant energy that reminds us of the beauty and uniqueness of each and every one of us.
A show rich in variations, to celebrate life in all its nuances.
