The iconic concert film by Jonathan Demme, relaunched in 2023 with a critically acclaimed restoration by A24, captures the Talking Heads at the height of their art. Filmed over several nights at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood during their 1983 Speaking in Tongues tour, Demme showcases the band at their most inventive, progressing from a solitary David Byrne to a musical ensemble whose mix of art rock, funk, and new-wave experimentation turns music into total artistic performance. Long considered one of the greatest concert films ever made, Stop Making Sense enhances the genius of Talking Heads through its avant-garde staging: minimalist sets, bold lighting, and the magnetic and unique dancing of David Byrne. In collaboration with Den Atelier and as part of David Byrne's upcoming concert at Rockhal.
