Femmes - Works of Luljeta and Santaro
The Saulcy University Library hosts the exhibition "Femmes - Works of Luljeta and Santaro", the result of two artists meeting around the theme of women.
You will discover ceramic works "Têtes de femmes" and "Femmes en terre raku" by the artist Luljeta, alongside the drawing composition "Éclat" by the artist Santaro.
The ceramic series "Têtes de femme" explores the head as a place of identity, emotion, and memory. Each face, intentionally stylized or deformed, oscillates between portrait and symbol. The clay evokes both the fragility and the strength of the represented female figures. The artist proposes a plurality of presences, without a single model, inviting the viewer to an intimate and silent encounter.
The drawing exhibition "Éclat" addresses the issue of violence that women may experience, whether physical, psychological, or verbal. Each work is inspired by anonymous testimonies, real words shared by women, which serve as the title for each drawing. The aim is to raise awareness, to reveal what is often hidden or ignored, and to pay tribute to those who have had the courage to speak out and to those who still remain silent.
This exhibition aims to be a space for reflection, listening, and humanity.
