Guided tour of the communes of the Eurometropolis of Metz: Vantoux
Since the 12th century, "the place where the wind blows" developed around a vast vineyard, which disappeared in the 19th century due to phylloxera. The village also thrived on cattle trading, supported by an important Jewish community, with the 16th-century Jewish cemetery and traces of the old synagogue still remaining.
