As part of the exhibition "L' Âme du Levant: l'imaginaire Japonais à l'œuvre" at the Musée de La Tour aux Puces, La Scala invites you to (re)discover the masterpiece by Hayao Miyazaki!
Japan, 15th century. Once protected by giant animals, the forest is being depleted because of humans. Wounded by a boar driven mad by demons, the young warrior Ashitaka leaves his people and sets out in search of the Deer God, who alone can break the curse affecting his arm. During his journey, Ashitaka meets Lady Eboshi, head of a community of blacksmiths, who must defend herself against those who accuse her of destroying the forest for her forges. Among her main enemies is San, a wild girl raised by wolves, also known as "Princess Mononoke," the princess of spirits.
