Arty Hour: Igshaan Adams. Between then and now
We are delighted to invite the Young Friends of Museums, in collaboration with the Young Collectors Club, to discover 'Between Then and Now,' the exhibition of South African artist Igshaan Adams shown at Mudam Luxembourg.
Join us on Wednesday, 29 April 2026, at 6:30 pm for an exclusive curator's tour led by Anaël Daoud, co-curator of the exhibition, who will guide us through Adams’ artistic universe where textile, sculpture, and performance merge to explore themes of belonging, resilience, and care.
The curator will lead you through monumental tapestries made from everyday materials—beads, chains, ropes, ribbons—and into an immersive installation created from the artist’s dance prints. She will share how Adams’ personal memories, influenced by apartheid-era South Africa, shape the emotional and physical dimension of his work as well as the healing role of movement and collective making.
After the tour, participants can mingle during Mudam’s Spring Party. Mélanie de Jamblinne and Joana Weitzel will welcome the Young Friends of Museums for this Arty Hour.
