Paper Garden is based on the work of Pierre-Joseph Buc’hoz, a lawyer, doctor, and botanist. In 1772, he began publishing his Histoire du règne végétal, an encyclopedia made up of thousands of plates depicting 'all the plants that grow on the surface of the globe'. This unfinished, precious, and poetic work inspired Benoît Faivre and Tommy Laszlo. Through simple paper cutting, they sought to revive this incredible iconographic heritage in the form of a fragile and ephemeral paper garden, whose magic is revealed by moving lights and sounds. Displayed in the majestic basilica of Saint-Vincent, the Paper Garden will delight both young and old!
