On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, the Cattenom nuclear power plant is offering a fun and educational activity called "The little residents of the power plant", intended for children aged 8 to 11.
This activity aims to raise awareness among young people about the richness of local biodiversity and the coexistence between the power plant and the surrounding wildlife. From fish to storks, and including bees, children will discover the species that live near the site and the actions taken to promote their protection.
Through interactive workshops, they will learn to recognize animal cries, discover the role of "useful" species in the ecosystem and complete an origami workshop.
The animation allows you to discover how the power plant works with local associations to monitor certain species, all in a very fun approach.
