The encounter between [NA] and Eténèsh Wassié takes place in a musical space based on listening, improvisation and collective energy.
Rooted in the Azmari tradition of Addis Ababa, Eténèsh Wassié unfolds a voice where phrasing, ornamentation, and poetic expression are anchored in a vibrant relationship with the musical moment. With her, [NA] develops a direct and fluid sonic texture, nourished by the practices of improvised music, rhythmic repetition, and an intensity inherited from punk.
The music is built in the flow: motifs, tensions, breaths and shared dynamics are freely articulated. From this encounter emerges an open and vibrant form, where vocal traditions, contemporary improvisation and raw energy converge.
