The Ensemble Miroirs Étendus contrasts the Folk Songs composed in 1963 by Luciano Berio, a figure in contemporary and electroacoustic music, with Bob Dylan songs from the album The Freewheelin’ released the same year: two worlds both drawing from traditional music. Miroirs Étendus celebrates this connection with arrangements of "Black Is The Color (of My True Love’s Hair)" and "I Wonder as I Wander", collected in the Appalachians at the beginning of the century, as well as emblematic Bob Dylan titles such as "Blowin’ in the Wind" and "Girl from the North Country".
