A former dancer of CCN - Ballet de Lorraine, Rémi Richaud launched himself passionately and explosively into his first choreography, the dark and ultra-energetic Boys Club. The mood shifts for his second piece, a disenchanted duo combining clown art and physical theatre. Life is a party, and I’m the Piñata explores the loss of meaning and the pursuit of happiness. In an authoritarian dystopia, a 'doomer', a young and pessimistic character lost in the absurdity of our times, buckles under the weight of constant injunctions. Accompanied by an imagined double, he reveals his humanity in a setting marked by brutalist architecture, trying to overturn the established order and regain the freedom to act. But that’s without counting on a group of amateurs overwhelming the space with an infernal Madison...
