"Prima la musica e poi le parole" – With this motto, Claudio Monteverdi invented musical emotion at the dawn of the 17th century. Under his hands, the voice is liberated, polyphony ignites, and a revolutionary art is born: opera, where singing becomes theatre and body and music become one.
