Caroline Shaw, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer, is a true star in today's music world. Equally at ease in pop and contemporary music, the American composer navigates happily between genres. Created in 2012, her magnificent Partita features eight a cappella voices in an incredibly surprising way, using vocal techniques from around the world. Equally virtuosic, Gabriel Kahane is both a great folk singer and a composer who pays tribute to the soloists of the ensemble Roomful of Teeth in his Elevator Songs.
