Guided tour through the permanent exhibition – 2:30pm - @Museum – Esch/Alzette

- guided tour
As soon as they enter the exhibition, at the entrance to the main hall, visitors discover the new exhibition, which is made up of printed texts, documents and objects in display cases, mechanical devices, audio recordings, films, projections, computer graphics, and interactive screens. This mix of media means that there is something for everyone. To complete the exhibition and give a voice to those who lived through this difficult period, audio testimonies complement each panel of the historical exhibition. They can be accessed via smartphone using QR codes. While the exhibition mainly follows a thematic approach, two timelines on the ground and first floors allow interested visitors to delve into the details of the story. To put faces to the story, short biographies allow visitors to discover the men and women directly involved. This approach is also found in the biographical niches in the main hall, which can be explored before or after visiting the historical exhibition itself. In 11 niches, 28 historical figures and 16 residents of present-day Luxembourg recount their lives as victims, civilians, or actors.
