Our oceans are under threat, and urgent action is needed. That's why we're bringing Billie, the giant octopus (and our Ocean Ambassador), to the heart of Luxembourg City for a day dedicated to ocean conservation. We hope to see many of you there!
👉 What's on the program? Interactive activities for children, discussions with our experts, information on the challenges facing our oceans and the exceptional presence of Billie, a giant inflatable octopus.
The oceans are essential to life on Earth. They cover more than 70% of our planet, produce much of the oxygen we breathe, and are home to an extraordinary diversity of species. Yet, they face growing threats, such as overfishing, plastic pollution, climate change, and deep-sea industrial exploitation.
These challenges may seem distant, but they directly concern us, including here in Luxembourg. Even without a coastline, Luxembourg depends on healthy oceans. Protecting them is therefore a responsibility we all share.
Come meet Greenpeace Luxembourg to discover why the oceans are essential to our future and how each of us can contribute to their protection. Together, let's ask the government to support the creation of vast, fully protected marine sanctuaries on the high seas, because Billie and her sea friends need to be protected 💙
