Show & CultureShow & CultureThe City of Metz and the Metz Astronomy Society invite you to experience a unique moment to observe a total solar eclipse at the Plan d'eau. This exceptional astronomical event will allow participants to see the moon cover more than 90% of the sun, weather permitting. It is essential to use certified glasses to observe this phenomenon in order to protect your eyes.
Good to know
Free distribution of certified pairs of glasses on site (one per family). Eclipse timings: from 7:20 PM to 8:15 PM. Gather at the Lake Site from 6:30 PM. Glasses are also available for free starting August 5th at all neighborhood town halls (one pair per household with presentation of an ID). It is important to supervise children and vulnerable people during the event.
