On the roof of a Kassena house, a young woman mixes clay and water, squishes, scribbles, and explores the path of the first traces. By reclaiming these ancestral gestures, she retraces the steps of young children playing in the earth. Beside her, a woman accompanies her with her voice and the soft sound of the N’goni. Together, they sketch the lines that will later brighten the walls of their homes and journey to the roots of humanity. Tiébélé echoes the beautiful imprints left on their houses by the women of a village in Burkina Faso. This is a performance blending visual art and poetry: earth and song, organic matter and sensitive material. A creation linking the gestures of these African women to the very first marks left by little children.
