Dodeka - Concert with Charel Breisch

As part of Dodeka, Charel Breisch presents a concert for piano and organ at the Old Saint-Laurent Church in Diekirch. The program, marked by fantasy, combines improvisations and classical works, from Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck to Johann Sebastian Bach. Moving between the intimate sounds of the piano and the spacious acoustics of the grand church organ, Charel Breisch creates an evolving soundscape where historical repertoire and improvisation nourish each other. From a very young age, Charel Breisch (*2007) learned the basics of organ playing from his father, organist at Luxembourg Cathedral. At the Conservatory of the City of Luxembourg, he studied cello and, at age 11, won the First Prize in Solfège. Since 2016, he has been studying organ with Paul Breisch at the Esch-sur-Alzette Conservatory, where he earned the First Prize diploma in 2025. He also takes courses in piano, harmony, counterpoint, and Gregorian chant, and since 2024, has studied organ improvisation with David Cassan at the 'Conservatoire Régional du Grand Nancy'. In 2026, he received the “Prix de la Musique” from the Rotary Club Esch-sur-Alzette.
