Show & CultureShow & Culture

A group exhibition featuring works by Assaf Gruber, Emma Dajska, Eva Prusiewicz, Ewa Partum, Janek Simon, Jasmina Metwaly, Małgorzata Mirga-Tas, Natalia LL, Ngo Van Tuong, Oliwia Bosomtwe, OPJ Cyganek and Julie Poulain, Renata Rara Kamińska, Shadow Architecture, Teresa Murak and Zuzanna Hertzberg. This exhibition challenges the myth of a homogeneous national narrative and reveals the different layers that make up Polish culture. It explores the migratory realities that have enriched this culture, as well as their links with Lorraine, which welcomed many Polish people during the development of mining and the steel industry. The exhibition invites visitors to discover a multiplicity of cultures in Poland and their connections with Lorraine. Historical and recent works address, in particular, tensions related to women’s role in public space, while nature appears as a component of reality that invites people to migrate or put down roots. At a time when the war in Ukraine is changing the permeability between European countries, the exhibition reminds us that differences are an integral part of our experience of the world.
