Fifty years after the death of Francisco Franco, this exhibition delves into the wounds inherited from forty years of dictatorship in Spain. Through symbolic locations such as the mass graves by Paterna's "Wall of Execution of Spain," narratives of the "defeated" in the La Safor region, and Franco's current tomb in Mingorrubio, photographer Eva Mányez presents a post-memorial journey into the consequences of fascism and 20th-century totalitarianisms. Archaeologists and descendants of the victims uncover buried memories within mass graves, restoring names and stories to the deceased.
