Regular guided tour: Bienvenue à la Villa (3)
The exhibition showcases a selection of Luxembourgish artworks spanning from the classical modern era to the turn of the millennium, including many recent acquisitions and donations. Pre-1945 periods feature works by the 'secessionists' Kutter, Rabinger, Schaack, Klopp, along with Ernest Wurth and Adrienne Baudoin-d'Huart. Subsequently, artworks by Henri Dillenburg and Nico Thurm, image series by Wil Lofy, collages by Roger Bertemes, and sculptures by Pit Nicolas depict an artistic journey toggling between figuration and abstraction. From the 1950s/60s, female artistry emerges with Jacqueline Hentges, Coryse Kieffer, and Triny Beckius. The 1990s to early 2000s highlight paintings and graphic works by Moritz Ney, Marie-Paule Feiereisen, Annette Weiwers-Probst, Renée Oberlinkels, and a sculpture by Bettina Scholl-Sabbatini.
