Solo exhibition by Manuel Ocampo titled "In Search of the Ridiculous." Manuel Ocampo, a graduate from California State University of Bakersfield in 1985, is a renowned Filipino artist known for his postcolonial and post-capitalist artistic approach. His works, inspired by Spanish grand masters, modernism, and Mexican avant-garde, are characterized by bold and provocative iconography. Through his creations, he explores themes such as class relations and ethnic and religious violence, incorporating incisive critiques of consumerism and power structures. His numerous solo and group exhibitions worldwide, including in significant biennials and museums, highlight the significance of his work in the contemporary art scene.
